I don’t think that anyone can deny that in His perfect ways God created men and women very differently. He gave each a very distinctive physical, biological and emotional make ups. How men and women think is very different as men only utilize one side of their brains while women use both sides. I imagine we can come up with a lot of conjecture and ideas as to why God created men and women so differently, but ultimately, He did it because He is a perfect God and that is the way He chose to create us.
What does scripture say about the creation of men and women?
Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Genesis 2:18, “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Genesis 2:20-23, “So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”
God masterfully and perfectly created men and women.
I want to use the remainder of our time to take a look at some distinctive seasons in the lives of men and women.
