Listen as Bryce Cook shares principles about answering the call from the books of Exodus and Jonah.
When God prompts us to do something, whatever that thing may be, He does so for a reason. He does so a lot of times out of His love for either us or those around us. Maybe we feel like God is prompting us to reach out to that person who always comes off as mean. Maybe He wants us to start a conversation with the atheist who makes fun of people who believe. Maybe it’s the person who criticizes the Bible’s take on societal issues of today. In order to do what the Lord wants, we have to love as the Lord loves. That’s what this all comes down to. It all starts with our hearts. It all starts right here. In us. So when we finally let go of our selfish desires, or our hateful dispositions, that’s when we open the door for God to use us in the world. But again, it all starts with us. Have we fully submitted to God’s will in our lives, and are we willing to go outside of our comfort zones for the sake of His purposes?
