We are going to start a series today entitled “Made For” which is going to be based around the seven letters to the churches in Revelation chapters two and three. The seven letters are to literal churches, but they also point out individual attributes in Christian people.
God inspired John to write the Book of Revelation. John was referred to commonly as the disciple that Jesus loved. He walked, talked, lived with Jesus and set beside Him during The Last Supper. John is in prison when he wrote this book on the island of Patmos. John is given a vision by Jesus Christ that was the foundation for his writings in Revelation.
Revelation 1:17-18, “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”
