When we elect and inaugurate a president here in the United States there is much to be made of the occasion. There are election celebrations and the winning party normally gloats about how good the next four years are going to be and how much better off our country is going to be because their candidate has been elected. The new president is guarded closely by armed bodyguards and huge crowds gather everywhere they go. They are whisked away in the most up to date car or SUV on the market. They wine and dine in the best restaurants and stay in the most luxurious hotels when traveling. Our presidents receive the best of the best in all their accommodations.
Other countries presidents and kings are also, celebrated with much pomp and circumstance as they are elected and inaugurated. Generally, as here in the United States these elected or appointed officials experience the best of travel and lifestyle accommodations.
