This is our last message in the “High Impact Living” series. Each of the messages have zeroed in on principles of living a “High Impact” life by choosing to serve others.

Here are the principles we have addressed in the previous three weeks:

  • Being great means being last and being the servant of all.
  • Being willing to serve means that we will be willing to use our gifts, talents and abilities to serve others.
  • Knowing and believing that God has called and empowered each of us to serve others.

Today we are going to look at the principle of being willing to lose ourselves to God to be used by Him to serve others.

One of the biggest battles in living “High Impact” lives and losing ourselves is the issue of being too busy and not having enough energy to feel like we can serve. There is a truth that we are all busy, but the thing we must realize is serving others energizes us. When I serve someone else I am energized and have such a feeling of joy and contentment. This is because God has hard wired each of us to serve and we miss tremendous opportunities if we do not commit to serving others as a lifestyle.
