If you don’t mind I’d like to use my blog spot this week to spotlight a special event for women only, sorry men!, coming up soon here at Wolcott Christian Church.
If you haven’t attended Wolcott Christian Church’s now annual women’s retreat yet I can honestly tell you, you are missing out!
For a new event, 2019 will only be the 3rd annual, it feels like this afternoon has been going on for years. It goes so smoothly and seamlessly you would think it was a time honored tradition for decades now but I can tell you from experience that the reason this event goes so well is because for months in advance a prayerfully selected group if ladies meet to pray for this day and for each lady in attendance fervently. Our Heavenly Father is interwoven to every moment of this special day and every decision that needs to be made in preparation and therefore you can feel His mighty blessing on this event and the powerful presence of His Holy Spirit is overwhelming at time.
The presence of the Holy Spirit is most felt during our worship songs; worship will again be led by LeAnn Atwell with Cheryl Fletcher.
I spoke to this year’s director, Pam Bennett, to see if I could get the inside scoop on this year’s event.
She was able to share with me that there will again be 4 heartfelt speakers; Rachel Cantrell, Pam herself, Kathy Childress and Lynn Switzer covering a range of topics every woman can relate to. And a new fun addition, a photo booth!
There will also be door prizes and lots of other surprises she can’t tell us yet, we’ll have to be there!
Snacks will be served at 1:00 and dinner will also be provided as well. And it’s hard to believe but all of this is free!
Please join us! I know school’s back in session, for our mom’s with school age kiddos, and committing to an event on Sunday night is tough when we have to get them ready for Monday but I promise you, you will not regret taking a Sunday evening for yourself! You will leave feeling renewed and refreshed, I promise.
